Please join executive officers of the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters, respected members of its board of trustees, Council leadership and distinguished guests as the new Carpenters’ Apprentice & Training Center officially opens its doors to past, present and future men and women union carpenters, Rockford, IL, and surrounding counties.

At 48,000 square feet, the Carpenter Training Center is six times the size of its predecessor facility. And because of its architectural design and use of environmentally friendly materials, the facility is currently being reviewed for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) designation. With guided tours offered the day of this event, visitors will have an opportunity to appreciate firsthand this beautiful facility…where current and future carpenter artisans learn and hone their craft.

The building you will have an opportunity to see up close came to life through the hands, heads and hearts of past and present carpenters, who envision function and beauty in what they construct, and who immerse themselves in pride for what they produce here at home, in the United States of America. Since 1881, the Chicago Regional Council of Carpenters has produced the safest, most efficient and most productive labor workforce, dedicated to its employers and grateful for the opportunity to develop safe communities for your families and ours.

Please join us at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, 2010, for this momentous event. To RSVP, contact Susan Salvi at 815-332-7006 or susans@chicap.org.

Sincerely yours,

Frank T. Libby
